Walk with Me

Walk with Me is a unique opportunity for the individual who feels like she is called to do “more,” but doesn’t feel she is ready on a physical, emotional, mental, or spiritual level.

This program encourages you to leave shame, blame, doubt, and fear at the door and step into a more confident and capable state of being.

When you consider what’s important (as in meaningful to you but you never fit them into your day) and what keeps you busy (as in less meaningful activities and chores that are part of your daily routine), you start to see that you could make changes.

Changes that will allow you to start opening your life to the wishes of your heart.

Start by taking just a few minutes EVERY day (or most days) to take care of your mind, body, and spirit.

Start by understanding that the choices you make today don’t have to be the same ones you made yesterday.

Start by ditching worthless feelings of doubt, guilt, shame or blame.

Start by playing more and worrying less.

Use walking as a time to recall conversations that may help you identify resources or mentors.

Meet Your Mentor

I’m Donna Doyon.

I created this Walk with Me program to help YOU become a healthier version of yourself.

Having lived a less-than-healthy lifestyle for decades, I finally turned that behavior around.

I went from binge watching TV reruns (and then Netflix series) to climbing mountains and running half marathons. I went from eating Doritos chips for lunch to eating sliced apples and turkey breast. I went from longing for washboard abs to… well, longing for washboard abs… but now I am performing planks daily and can see some muscle definition in that area!

And you know what?

It wasn’t that hard to make the transition. It didn’t take a lot of time. It didn’t take a lot of energy.

It took ZERO motivation!

My transformation started when I made walking a part of my daily routine. I took those first hesitant, reluctant steps out my front door. And I walked every day.

Now some days, you might look at how far I walked, or how fast I walked, and think, “That’s not really walking.” But whether it was an unnecessary walk to the mailbox, or a lap around the living room, I intentionally walked extra steps every day. And yes, I called that walking.

Think of it like those days when you are running late in the morning and you still need to brush your teeth. You squeeze a dab of toothpaste on the toothbrush, give your teeth a quick swipe and call brushing good. Same thing. 😊

When you start something new, the results don’t matter as much as practicing the action.

Walking is a habit.

And I’m a woman who lives by my daily routine… my habits.

So, once I FINALLY applied my own system of creating habits to get things done, it was a piece of cake, er… a bunch of grapes.

You see, I’ve been a long-time goal-setter and goal-getter. When I wanted to accomplish something, I created new habits to support that goal. I built action into my daily routine to move me toward that goal.

Turns out, it works just as well on health and happiness goals, too!

I know how to fit new habits into my current routine. I can teach you how to do it, too.

The toughest part, though, could be focusing your energy on YOU and not everyone else in your world.

Q. Okay, I am ready to do this. What do I do and what happens next?

Q. I am overweight and really inactive. Will this program still work for me?  

A. Yes! In fact, I love working people who are just starting to walk. This program is set up based on levels. There is a Success Path to help you determine your starting point. You progress along the path at your own pace for as far as you want to go. Each level increases the amount of time and distance you will spend walking.

Q. My weight is okay, maybe ten or so pounds overweight. I like to walk already. Do I need this program?  

A. Yes! If you aren’t joyfully walking 30 – 45 minutes most days of the week at a brisk pace, you probably aren’t receiving the full benefits of a walking program. This program will help you add consistency and intensity to what you are already doing.

Q. In the Meet the Mentor section, you talk about losing weight. Is this also a weight loss program?

A. Not specifically. I believe that trying to focus on too many things at one time produces lower results than concentrating on one area. However, if you start walking and do not make any changes to what you are eating, you will slowly (very slowly) lose weight.

The Healthier Habits Starter Program and Healthier Habits Foundation program (included with your membership) do offer guidance on making healthier food choices.

Q. I’m still not sure this is a good fit for me. How can I know?  

A. Give it a try. If you aren’t satisfied with Walk with Me within the first 30 days, just let me know and I will refund your money. You can also cancel your membership at any time.
