Ep056: 3 Tips for Becoming More Positive

There is no denying that there are tragedies that occur in our world, or cruelties that are experienced at the hands of other human beings.

But we can choose whether to focus on the misfortunes and the tragedies, or on the miracles and the promises.

Ep055: The Lesser of Two Negatives

The toilet paper battle raged in Donna’s home. After being caught tissue-less, she challenged her rogue/paladin partner to pick one of two “crimes” against clean bottoms.

You decide which charge was the lesser of two negatives. Or if there was a third consideration–one that wasn’t a “crime” at all.

An Active Lifestyle Allows Me to Enjoy Maine Winters

Once upon a time I lived like a bear. When cold weather settled in, so did I.

The only time I went outside was to go from my home to the car to work/store to the car to home.

And I just LOVED the days that it snowed and I’d have to go outside and shovel.

Brrrrr… winter was so not my favorite time of the year!

But, now that I’ve become one of those “active lifestyle” people, I get to enjoy spending time outside in Maine, no matter what the season.

Yesterday, after I finished my coaching calls, I headed off to
Harris Farm
in Dayton, Maine for a bit of time on the cross-country trails.

I watched squirrels scamper around in the snow, listened to birds sing, and followed deer tracks until they bounded off the groomed trail.

And while the couch, a good book, and my favorite television shows will ALWAYS have a place in my life, enjoying the gifts of nature are even more wonderful!

If you’d like to adopt a healthier, more active lifestyle, I would love to help you get started.

Ep054 – 3 Steps to Living a More Active Lifestyle

Do you talk about becoming more physically active? Do you do anything about it?

Lack of time, too much to do, tried and failed, or feeling too old are just some of the excuses people make for not being physically active. You CAN be more physically active in just 5 minutes a day. Your health, happiness, and future depend on it.

As we celebrate the New Year, don’t just make a flimsy, half-hearted resolution to become more active or to improve your health. This year, do something about it.

These 3 steps will get you started.

Ep053 – The Seedstalk of Courage

Pursuing a dream is like living a fairy tale. You feel hopeful, you feel scared, you feel challenged. You seek help, you receive help (sometimes from unlikely sources). You keep believing in the magic. And of course, you live happily ever after.

In this week’s episode, I take a look back at the first 15 months of creating my dream life.

Meet my Master Gardener (aka business coach)

Talking with business coach Priscilla Hansen Mahoney, Blazing Trails Coaching, was just what I needed to try building my home-based business again. She understood my fears, my doubts, and my concerns. She helped me expose those fears and face them with a courage I was afraid to show. (Ironic, isn’t it?) She encouraged me to embrace my doubts and address my concerns. She told me what I’ve told so many others: You can do this! If you are interested in starting or growing your business, and want/need some guidance, give Priscilla a call.
