Ep120: Do Something Different

Breaking the patterns of sameness is a quick and easy way to add a bit of magic to your day. Try one of the examples I offer or come up with your own ideas.

This morning I drove to the grocery store. I typically park at the distant end of the lot.

Today, because it was cold and extremely windy (and my hair was wet), I parked closer to the entrance. It felt really weird.

When I stepped into the store, I didn’t feel like I was quite ready to be there. I felt like I had arrived at a party too early. My timing was off. My steps were off.

Just as weird was leaving the store. I wasn’t even looking for my car when I was already beyond where I had parked.

Oops!

Doing something different can be super simple and yet feel somewhat challenging. Give it a try!

I so enjoy you! You had me smiling the entire time and that is precious. I am picturing myself with that deep part, and that made me laugh. The old clothes I don’t wear, mostly they don’t fit, so it would be quite a site. And would crack me up! I do agree with the ‘do something different’ idea. I tell clients often to do 3 things different each day, get out of the auto-pilot mode and start to re-experience even the simplest things. It feels so good! This is another great podcast…thank you lovely lady!
