This morning I drove to the grocery store. I typically park at the distant end of the lot.
Today, because it was cold and extremely windy (and my hair was wet), I parked closer to the entrance. It felt really weird.
When I stepped into the store, I didn’t feel like I was quite ready to be there. I felt like I had arrived at a party too early. My timing was off. My steps were off.
Just as weird was leaving the store. I wasn’t even looking for my car when I was already beyond where I had parked.
