Who is Sarah Monroe?

In this 22nd of 30 Bits of Bravery… a FB Live challenge that I have modified to meet my own needs… I introduce you to Sarah Monroe, a character I created a few months ago for a creative writing assignment.

She has grown as a character and as a part of my life. She is giving me the chance to share some of my own life stories through her actions.

This video tells you more about it.

If you are interested in a chance to read some of these earliest drafts of her stories, LIKE my Donna Doyon Facebook page and stay tuned for more information on this.

Show notes:

Although I didn’t mention “Episode 48: All or Nothing or How About Something In-between” in this podcast episode, as I was mentioning that doing something is better than doing nothing, I knew it was a familiar concept. 🙂

If you’d like to learn a bit more about the impact our brain’s chemicals may have on our food choices, check out this information. I thought it was pretty enlightening ==> How do brain chemicals affect emotional eating?

And here’s the video on the “I should” or “I should not” game I created. 🙂

My latest adventure…

“Into each life, some rain must fall,
Some days must be dark and dreary.”http://donnadoyon.com/?p=1877&preview=true

Unlike Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, I am not feeling the despair of dark and dreary days… but the line of his poem did strike me as a starting point for this post. Instead, I would phrase it as…

“Into each life, some adventure must come,
Some days must be bright and airy.”

Today’s adventure is not about climbing mountains or setting goals… instead it’s about venturing into the realm of the less logical.

Are you open to less logical perspectives and approaches to living? Share your thoughts in the comments below.

Hugs,

An Active Lifestyle Allows Me to Enjoy Maine Winters

Once upon a time I lived like a bear. When cold weather settled in, so did I.

The only time I went outside was to go from my home to the car to work/store to the car to home.

And I just LOVED the days that it snowed and I’d have to go outside and shovel.

Brrrrr… winter was so not my favorite time of the year!

But, now that I’ve become one of those “active lifestyle” people, I get to enjoy spending time outside in Maine, no matter what the season.

Yesterday, after I finished my coaching calls, I headed off to
Harris Farm
in Dayton, Maine for a bit of time on the cross-country trails.

I watched squirrels scamper around in the snow, listened to birds sing, and followed deer tracks until they bounded off the groomed trail.

And while the couch, a good book, and my favorite television shows will ALWAYS have a place in my life, enjoying the gifts of nature are even more wonderful!

If you’d like to adopt a healthier, more active lifestyle, I would love to help you get started.
