Communicate Your Goals & Their Impact on Others

As much as we might wish the people closest to us (those living in our homes with us) could read our minds and our intentions… that just isn’t the case.

And as much as we’d like the people closest to us to support us in achieving our greatest dreams, oftentimes they don’t know what our dreams are OR how the changes in our actions will impact them.

In this week’s video, I share some thoughts on how to share with the people in your household about the changes you are making (so you can achieve your goals) AND how they can expect to be impacted by those changes.

Open and honest conversations will help you all have greater understanding of what’s going on. That will help you move forward with a lightness of heart that will help you keep moving toward your goals.

The Big Leap

In goal setting, as in life, our mindset plays a huge part in our level of success. I’ve been reading the book “The Big Leap” by Gay Hendricks. It is a powerful read and has the potential to change lives if we let it.

In this week’s video I share an overview of the first couple of chapters. I cannot do this book and the messages justice, but hopefully I make you curious enough to check it out for yourself.

Reduce Goal Achieving Overwhelm

Have you ever been working on a project and moving forward nicely and then suddenly stalled? Or perhaps you had a great idea, but couldn’t quite get yourself started.

I know it happens to me. In fact, it happens fairly often.

I think it happens to most (if not all) of us.

What we do when that happens, we we stall on our journey to achieving our goals, is what matters. It can change the outcome of any work we’ve put forth in achieving that goal.

Today’s goal setting tip offers a way to free up your brain power so you can start moving forward again.

Aim High and Stretch to Reach Your Goals

Michelango said, “The greater danger for most of us lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low, and achieving our mark.”

When you set your goals, do you aim so that you are guaranteed to achieve them? If you do, I have a question for you… where’s the fun in that? 🙂

Goal setting should be scary and exciting. It should make your heart race and your inner voice scream for you to slow down, take a breath, be “realistic!”

In this week’s goal setting tip, I encourage you to dream big AND support the people around you who dare to dream big.
