Ep043: Healthier Habits Starter Program – Debrief

In Episode 39, I shared my fears about a new program I would be offering to my audience. The program is called The Healthier Habits Starter Program. I had many doubts and fears about launching this program. The greatest fear was based on my insecurity about my own ability to attract people to attend. I was afraid I’d create this program (which I think is wonderful), but no one would participate.

Those doubts and fears tried their darnedest to keep me in my safe little bubble of dreams, protected from the possible cruelty of reality.

In this week’s episode of Reflections of a Recovering Ugly Duckling, I share what I learned during this roller coaster ride of emotional turmoil, demands upon my time, and dealing with tricky technology.

My head was spinning, my stomach was lurching, and my fists were clenched in terror.

One thing I know for certain… the person who finished the ride, was not the same person who climbed aboard that roller coaster.

Have you ever been working, working, working and then hit a wall? Not literally, of course, but figuratively reached that point where you can’t go on. You feel like you can’t function anymore.

Sometimes we have the opportunity to step away from that wall to relax, regroup, and recharge our energy. Other times we do not.

In this week’s episode of Reflections of a Recovering Ugly Duckling, I share my recent experience with hitting the proverbial wall and how I bounced off it and restored my energy so I could continue my day.

Ep040: Facing Fear with the Power of Your Passion

FEAR: Forget Everything And Run or Face Everything And Rise. Which approach do you take when facing those nagging voices of fear that whisper in your ear?

Do you listen to them? Do you question them? Do you challenge them?

In this week’s episode of Reflections of a Recovering Ugly Duckling, I share with you my struggle with FEAR.



Fear of success. Fear of failure. Fear of people talking about me. Fear of not measuring up. Fear of planning a party that no one will attend.

There are more types and levels of fear that I can list here. Some rear their ugly heads only in certain conditions. Others remain a constant presence in our hearts.

Fear can be vanquished, when we have the courage to face it.


This week I am challenging the voice that whispers, “What if no one comes?” as I invite you to join me in a new program I’ve developed.

Ep039: Become Who You Want to Be

Sometimes an amazing thing happens when we are living our lives. We transform into the person we always wanted to be. Take a few minutes to think about who you were, who you are, and who you want to be.

It isn’t too late to start a new hobby, a new athletic endeavor or a new career. If you want to “be” someone else, now is your time to do it!
