Reflections of a Recovering Ugly Duckling is published every Tuesday. Its mission is to help you overcome the obstacles or self-defeating behaviors that keep you from living happily ever after.

If you have dreams, but also doubts and fears, let me interrupt your daily patterns of sameness and encourage you to spend a little time focusing on things that are important to your overall quality of life.

Ep091: When Your Body Speaks, Do You Listen?

My energy level was zero. I thought I knew what I needed to do to get it back to where I wanted and needed it to be. Then it occurred to me that my body was telling me what it needed, but I wasn’t listening.

Has this ever happened to you?

Ep090: You Can Change Your Story

The villain in my healthy eating story is vegetables. For 55-years I have been fine NOT having them in my life.

When I asked the Universe for some guidance, vegetables were the obvious answer. I wanted to resist.

But I had asked.

The Universe had answered.

Now what was I supposed to do?

Show Notes

This is the podcast episode in which I talk about putting our requests out the Universe and not paying attention to the answer.

Ep089: Don’t Call Me, Schedule Me

If you feel a lack in your relationships, perhaps rather than waiting for them to call you when they have time to meet, you can call them, I challenge you to be pro-active and start scheduling times to meet with friends and family members.

Ep087: When Plan B Comes Together Perfectly

Plan B. The backup to what you really want to do or accomplish. Instead of climbing a mountain, I sat for hours looking at a lovely view of mountains and visiting with family. I climbed an 8,000 ton glacial erratic, walked along the Sandy River, and saw an amazing sunset. Sometimes Plan B, turns out to the be perfect plan.
