Setting goals can be both fun and scary. Achieving them can be hard work. There are things we can do to stay on task, though.

Ep105: The Risks and Benefits of Setting Healthy Boundaries

Last week, I talked about what personal boundaries are, why we need them, and how to know when your boundaries are being threatened or violated.

This week, in Part 2, I talk about the risks and benefits of enforcing your personal boundaries. Because let’s face it… there is a price.

If there wasn’t, it wouldn’t be a problem.

So your challenge is deciding which, if any, boundaries you are willing to defend and what you can expect when you do!

Hint: It can be magical! 🙂

Show Notes:

This podcast series was inspired by life experience and the book, Boundaries: When to say yes, how to say no, to take control of your life by Drs Henry Cloud and John Townsend. From the Boundaries Books website, you can download the 10 Laws of Boundaries for free AND/OR take their free quiz to determine if you have boundary issues.

In January we will be further exploring the topic of boundaries in my membership program Walk with Me.

Ep103: How to Check in With Your Daily Routine

The transition from a recovering ugly duckling continues…

This week we look at your daily routine to determine if you are doing things “right” and to see if you can make adjustments to some tasks that will serve your creative and coaching goals more effectively.

This week’s episode is sponsored by the Healthier Habits for Your Mind, Body, and Business mini-guide. This mini-guide offers simple actions you can take every day to stay in alignment with your core intention of living healthier and happier while growing your business. Get your free copy at

I started the episode by drawing cards from two oracle card decks.

Keepers of the Light Deck by Kyle Gray

Gaia - Keepers of the Light  The Keepers of the Light deck by Kyle Gray is gorgeous!

Gaia reminds us to stay grounded and ensure that our choices are for the highest good. As you begin to pay attention to the tasks and activities that are filling your days, keep Gaia in mind. Keep asking yourself if these activities are for the highest good.

Note: The “highest good” does not mean you sacrifice all to please others. Your highest good matters, too!

Next week we’ll talk about boundaries and how a lack of boundaries does not serve the highest good. Tune in!

Lavish Earth - Selenite and Pearly Ammonite The Lavish Earth card deck by Amy Woodson makes it easy to connect with your favorite crystals. And you don’t have to walk around with a pocket full of rocks! Each card also shares an inspirational quote.

Selenite magnifies and supports the properties of other crystals.  “The meeting of two personalities is like the contact of two chemical substances; if there is any reaction, both are transformed.” ~ Carl Jung

Pearly Ammonite represents pure hope. Everything seems possible. Lift yourself out of the day to day. “Life shrinks or expands in proportion to ones courage.” ~ Anais Nin

For us, these cards mean that it’s time to start believing in what’s possible by taking a step back from what we are currently doing so we can see what REALLY needs to be done. Just because our routines served us in the past, does not mean they will serve us in the future. If you want to make any changes in your life or business, you need to make changes in your daily routine.

Ep094: A Witness to What Matters

Do you recognize greatness when you see it?

Do you appreciate the synchronicity that sometimes must occur in order for that great act to happen?

Do you get caught in the ego-centered trap of wondering why you aren’t part of the greatness around you?

What if your role is simply to be a witness?

Ep092: Be Kind to Yourself

When you just aren’t feeling “it,” when it comes to accomplishing a task, do you push thru the pain, give in to the desire to skip it, or beat yourself up no matter which choice you make?

Here’s what I did when an “easy” mountain was close to sending me running for my car.
